Media literacy

Types of content
In this article, we want to talk about types of content.
There are 6 types of content:
-reporting;
-opinion;
-propaganda;
-public relations(PR);
-advertising;
-social advertising.

Reporting
Reporting presents us facts that are intended to educate us about certain topics. Reporting should not contain the author’s opinion. But it can contain the opinions of people other than the author.
Opinion
In some way, opinion is a manipulative kind of content. Often, when a person expresses his point of view, he tries to convince you to change your mind. But it is not always negative. Without familiarization with different opinions, you can not form our own. Anyway, the opinion of the author should be clearly separated from everything else.

Propaganda.
Propaganda is the more or less systematic effort to manipulate other people's beliefs or actions. You must clearly understand where propaganda is, and use your critical thinking to analyse it.
Public Relations.
PR is the practice of managing and disseminating information from an individual or an organization to the public in order to influence their belief.

Advertising.
Advertising is the process of producing content with the intention of promoting it. But advertising, as well as opinion, should be clearly identified and separated.
Social advertising
Social advertising is information of any kind, which is aimed at achieving socially useful goals, the promotion of necessary values, the popularisation of which is not intended for material gain. Nowadays, social advertising preferably uses social media platforms.
