An opinion is a statement that expresses a feeling, an attitude, a value judgment or a belief. It is a statement that is neither true nor false. Or it may seem true to some, but false to others.
THOUGHT:
- cannot yet be verified.
- relies on connotative language.
- Can mean different things to different people.
- uses evaluative words and comparisons like "best," "most," etc.
It is always important to distinguish the difference between fact and opinion in order to distinguish the reliability and usefulness of information. Sometimes information is presented as facts when it can only be an opinion. This article will look at the two concepts of fact and opinion and analyze the differences between them. The main difference between fact and opinion is that a Fact can be proven to be true, whereas an opinion cannot be proven to be true.
